Background:

E2FC is a member of the E2F transcription factors, (cell cycle genes), it is the key components of the cyclin D/retinoblastoma/E2F pathway. AtE2Fc is regulated by a balance between gene expression and ubiquitin-proteasome proteolysis. AtE2Fc might play a role in cell division and during the transition from skotomorphogenesis to photomorphogenesis.
