Background:

TOC75-4 is a component of the translocon outer membrane (TOC) complex. It forms the voltage-dependent preprotein translocation channels (hydrophilic beta barrel) of the TOC complex in the chloroplastic outer membrane. It plays a role in preprotein conductance.
